I found this New York Times
article earlier today. I am actually not sure what lead me to it. The
article concerned a new encyclopedia on the classical world, called
The Classical Tradition
. The volume sounds fabulous. According the
article, it "new single-volume reference work aptly described by its publisher as 'a discursive guide to antiquity and its reverberations'" (
article). Apparently it is traces it's lineage back to on the Suda, an encyclopedia from 10th century Byzantium. It sounds amazing.
